Who we are

RFIP is a UK based, leading provider of RFID Services and Support, specialising in the supply of equipment, consultancy and training.

Our Heritage

We were originally founded in April of 2002 as a joint venture by BTG plc (the IP management company) and SAMSys Inc (the RFID company) to develop a family of ISO 18000 compliant RFID chips. On conclusion of the joint venture in 2004, the business has been re-organised to focus on the delivery of RFID equipment, consultancy and training.  RFIP's senior management team has been intimately associated with the RFID industry for the last 12 years and has helped develop and mould RFID standards including GTAG™, ISO 18000, and EPC™ UHF Generation 2.

Collaboration

We have collaborated with two leading European chip manufacturers to develop a family of ISO compliant UHF RFID chips. The first of these, the EM4223 is presently in production and available for deployment in RFID systems.

Competencies

RFIP has key competencies in Radio Frequency Design and Development, Antenna design, RFID applications engineering and Standards/Regulatory compliance.
